neverending list of movies that (for one reason or another) have a special place in my heart
KRABAT

one of the very very few German movies that is very very dear to me! Krabat was my favourite book as a kid (or well rather a teenager, I got it when I was about 9) and I wasn’t too keen on the idea of a movie being made at first but I think they did a brilliant job with it! the atmosphere got transferred brilliantly! just as dark and dirty as I imagined while reading as a kid! it probably was good that I hadn’t read the book in ages when watching the movie for the first time cause of course they didn’t realize the story identically.
but yeah all in all I was VERY pleased with the outcome!!!

And I’ve been a fool and I’ve been blind I can never leave the past behind I can see no way, I can see no way I’m always dragging that horse around All of these questions, such a mournful sound Tonight I’m gonna bury that horse in the ground So I like to keep my issues strong But it’s always darkest before the dawn

And I’ve been a fool and I’ve been blind
I can never leave the past behind
I can see no way, I can see no way
I’m always dragging that horse around

All of these questions, such a mournful sound
Tonight I’m gonna bury that horse in the ground
So I like to keep my issues strong
But it’s always darkest before the dawn

50 movies I can watch over and over again (in no particular order) Krabat (2008) | Director: Marco KreuzpaintnerI thought I’d start with two movies most people of you won’t know as they are German productions, also I have to admit they were the movies I thought of last and I’ll just start the other way round. *gg*anyway back to Krabat, which was my favourite book as a child, so you can assume I was vary towards this movie when I heard about it, but though they changed quite some things and even left out a whole year I have to say they captured the atmosphere of the book pretty well imo. also it has a lot of really brilliant German actors in it, so yeah I really love this movie

♥♥♥
